Lead Developer Texas

Our Production Director, Adam Dewhurst, joined up with our good friends at White October Events out in Texas recently to help them deliver the debut Lead Developer conference in the Lone Star State.

The event took place in Austin, Texas, earlier this month, after the concept was successfully introduced to the US, in New York, last year.

On Event Production Lead Developer Texas

Lead Developer brings together tech leads, engineering managers and chief technical officers for a programme of inspiring talks and networking opportunities.

It is sponsored by global tech brands including Indeed, Shopify and Conde Naste.

We’ve been working with White October Events since 2014 in the UK and across Europe, but this is the first time we’ve been asked to provide support in the US.

White October Events sourced venue and the production company for the event and Adam was tasked with managing the event, coordinating the production company and making sure it all came in on budget.

He also worked with the live captions provider and managed the video team before the footage was sent back to White October Events’ UK-based editor.

In the build-up to the event, he spoke to all the presenters at the conference to gain an understanding of their individual requirements. Getting all the information from them in advance meant he could plan thoroughly and produce a very detailed running order for the team in Austin.

He was on-site for the event build and assisted with the running of the conference on the day, before debriefing afterward.

Megan Kingdom-Davies, Event Operations Manager, White October Events, said: “Adam did a sterling job in Austin. Our speakers have consistently raved about the support from Adam and his name keeps appearing in emails I’m getting.

“He coordinated the production company amazingly well, I was so impressed. All in all, a fantastic conference which wouldn’t have been half as good without him.”

Speaker Laurie Barth, of Ten Mile Square Technologies, added: “Just wanted to thank you for everything this weekend. You’re truly world class. Your setup made speaking so easy. Hope to see you again in the future.”
