On provides sound and lighting for Spiegel Tent Nottingham

Having toured the world, from New York to Sydney and just about everywhere in-between, the Spiegel Tent made a five-day visit to the city’s Old Market Square to bedazzle visitors with its unique brand of entertainment.

The Spiegel Tent is a European mirrored tent, which features a travelling dance hall, bar and entertainment salon. Featuring a beautiful red velvet draped ceiling, stained glass windows, private booths and gorgeous period lighting, the circular central stage allows the entire audience seated in the tent to get a 360 degree view of the performance.

There are currently only a handful of these very special tents in the world, so it was a very exciting project for On Event Production Co. to be involved in.

Commenting on the event, Pete Copeland, production manager @ On, said:

“This was one of those events that captured the imagination of the whole team at On. It was a unique project to work on – the event went brilliantly and the audiences loved the performances that were delivered as part of the spectacle.”

The Spiegel Tent was the jewel in the crown of Nottingham’s campaign to get people to visit the city during the month of October as part of the UK Festival City initiative. The event featured an array of events including the jousting of legends, Victorian old-time music hall and a 25-hour dance marathon.
