The roadshow team at On Event Production Co. recently produced the bespoke stage and set for the launch of this year’s Virgin Pitch to Rich competition, which gives entrepreneurs the chance to win a start-up investment from Sir Richard Branson.
On, working in partnership with London based agency, OneTwoFour, created an eye-catching set for a series of roadshow events, which took place at venues including Gorilla in Manchester, The Basement in Brighton and Cardiff’s Millennium Centre.
Entrepreneurs and business experts came together at the events to hear a variety of pitches, listen to fascinating talks from some inspirational speakers and network with their peers.
A record-breaking 2,048 entries have been received for this year’s competition, which were voted on by the public. The top 261 pitches were reviewed by the judges to reach a final shortlist of 32 semi-finalists, which have been viewed and voted for on social media.
Nine finalists in three categories will go on to a glittering live finale in London on 26th June, where they will have the chance to pitch their business ideas to a panel of business supremoes, including Sir Richard Branson.
They will have just 90 seconds each to secure their share of a £1 million prize fund and take their business to the next level.
Commenting on working on this year’s roadshows with OneTwoFour and Virgin Media Pioneers, Guy Eaton, managing director of On, said:
“It has been very exciting to handle the production of this year’s Pitch to Rich roadshows and work with OneTwoFour to create a set which retains the strong value associated with the Virgin brand.
“The bespoke stage set and technical support was devised and produced by our production management team, which has overseen the entire process, from project management and design, to manufacture and installation.”
