1. Venue Audio-Visual Technician

On Event Production Co is a leading technical, live event production company based in the East Midlands. We provide creative, technical solutions for conferences, awards, fashion shows, and product launch events to a wide range of blue-chip clients and their agencies.

We are seeking an ambitious Audio-Visual Technician to join our creative and friendly team at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham City. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to build a career in the audio-visual and event production industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work under the direct supervision of the in-house Production Manager at ESR.
- Provide technical support for clients using Eastside Rooms’ various meeting spaces.
- Assist clients with connectivity to in-house installed equipment.
- Build and develop long-term client relationships through exceptional client care.
- Support the venue sales and operations teams with technical assistance.
- Work as a technician on live and hybrid events at the venue.
- Manage and maintain On’s equipment residing at the venue.
- Assist the in-house Production Manager with CAD drawings and quotes if required.

Skills and Qualifications

- Experience in live event audio-visual technical installation, support and operation
- Excellent client care with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Proven ability to learn new skills and systems quickly and effectively.
- Experience working with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Comfortable working alone and as part of a team.
- Good timekeeping and task management.
- Knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Numerate and literate.
- Responsible, assertive, approachable, adaptable, honest, tactful, and diplomatic.
- Valid driving license (commutable distance from Birmingham).

2. Head of Venues (Production)

On Event Production Co. are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic production focussed individual to join the team as Head of Venues. This is an exciting new senior role to the business, with a core focus on managing, maintaining and developing our venue production services and venues portfolio. Applicants should be passionate about deliving exceptional production services within a venue environment and have a broad knowledge of corporate production delivery to include set, staging and AV technology.

You must possess excellent client services skills as you will be working alongside our highly valued venue clients, ensuring we are providing the best service at all times. You should have experience of managing and developing relationships and opportunities with new venues, producing pitch winning tender responses and negotiating competitive commercial arrangements. You will have a flexible and efficient approach to work as well as being able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills to manage and motivate on-site teams.

Main job responsibilities:

• Client liason and account management for existing venue partnerships
• Leadership of venue service teams
• New venue business development
• Development of venue services products & packages
• Negotiation of commerical arrangements & contractual obligations

We are looking for people with:

• Previous experience in managing production services for a portfolio of UK based venues
• Previous experience of account management and business development
• Previous experience in team management & leadership.
• A passion for production and creating exceptional experiences
• Confident and experienced in managing new oportunities and delivering winning presentations and proposals
• Good overall knowledge of production to include sound, lighting, video, stage systems for corporate events.
• Excellent organisational and administration skills.
• Competent user of IT systems including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Valid driving licence.

Location:

This role is based at our Castle Donington, Derby office with optional hybrid working on completion of induction and systems training. By the very nature of the role and the events industry, you will be required to travel and work evening and weekends when required.
