On Event Production Co. recently created the custom stage set for jQuery UK, the largest front end developer conference in the UK, in conjunction with White October Events.
This is the third time that jQuery UK has been staged in Oxford and this year’s event featured some of the biggest names in the industry, along with delegates from both public and private sectors.
Attendees are typically JavaScript developers who are passionate about their craft and eager to learn the latest tools and techniques that will help them build modern web applications.
The event saw delegates immersed in a range of topics that touched on many aspects of front-end development. Expert speakers discussed everything from the latest changes to jQuery, to mobile, building and testing JavaScript applications and much more.
On were responsible for full technical production at the event, including the creation of a large, very functional set in the main hall, Track 1, which was in keeping with an event of this nature. The bespoke set housed three high definition screens to facilitate the text and graphics that were required and was accompanied by quality staging, sound and lighting.
We also created Track 2, a workshop and exhibition area, equipped with high definition plasma screen, lighting and PA system, which enabled sponsors and speakers to engage with delegates in an informal atmosphere.
Speaking about this year’s jQuery UK, Chris Vernon-Smith production director at On, said:
“Whilst we handled full production for the event, this was a slightly different brief to normal as the requirements was functional rather than creative.
“We thoroughly enjoyed the whole production process, which demonstrates the breadth of work that On is involved in.”
