On Event Production Co. expands scenic fabrication capabilities with new purpose built facility

On Event Production Co. has opened a new purpose built scenic fabrication facility at its Castle Donington headquarters, increasing capacity and enhancing the way projects are designed, built and delivered for clients across the UK. 

The expansion marks a major step forward for the company’s in house scenic team, which first launched in 2014 to bring technical production and set fabrication together under one roof. Continued growth across exhibition, experiential, automotive, pharmaceutical and technology programmes created the need for a dedicated workspace designed specifically around modern scenic build workflows. 

Two neighbouring units on the Castle Donington estate have now been transformed into a fully equipped scenic fabrication hub. The facility features extensive build space for large scale projects, CNC machining, a spray booth, digital project tracking and dedicated areas for component prep and finishing. Offices, welfare areas and a client meeting space complete the new environment. 

The move enables full pre event builds of exhibition stands, stage sets and experiential environments, giving clients the chance to walk through and sign off projects before arriving on site. Improved workflow systems also support faster turnarounds, greater cost control and tighter oversight of quality standards, health and safety and finishing. 

The expansion follows sustained growth across touring roadshows, events and exhibitions, including recent work designing and building modular roadshow assets for a global technology brand, helping product experts bring new handset features to life in call centres and retail spaces nationwide. 

Managing Director Adam Dewhurst said: 

“We have grown from a corner of a shared warehouse into a fully fledged scenic fabrication department, and this new facility is the next step in that journey. Demand from our agency partners and direct clients has been rising year on year, and we reached the point where we needed a space designed around how we actually build. 

“The new hub gives us the ability to work smarter and at greater scale. We can deliver full pre event builds, welcome clients in to fine tune the creative and technical details, and keep multiple projects progressing without compromise. The combination of expanded space, purpose built processes and digital project tracking means we can respond faster, manage costs more effectively and elevate quality across every stage of production.”  

Located in the Midlands with excellent access to major road networks and the NEC, the new facility strengthens On Event Production Co.’s position as a dependable scenic partner for agencies and brands nationwide.
