We were recently commissioned by one of our long-standing clients to handle production for an awards event to celebrate the achievements of its staff over the past 12 months.
Our brief was to stage an awards event for recognition of around 300 people at an interesting venue in the Capital – As soon as we saw the Tobacco Dock in London, with its authentic timber beams and series of indoor and outdoor courtyards, we knew it would be the perfect fit.
The Tobacco Dock is a Grade I listed warehouse in the Docklands area of London’s East End. It was constructed circa 1811 and as the name suggests, served primarily as a store for imported tobacco.
Following several reincarnations over the years, it is now the hub of London’s events quarter. As well as being used for large corporate and commercial events, it is regularly used as the backdrop for films, TV shows and music videos, thanks to its stylish, pared-back events space and waterside views.
With some careful planning, imagination and creativity, coupled with our care and attention to detail, we created a truly outstanding and highly polished awards event to WOW every guest.
The evening started with pre-event drinks in a separate reception room, which was expertly lit by the On team and featured a number of props.
We produced a 16m x 3m video wall with custom content which served as the backdrop to the main stage, with lots of high quality lighting, sound, video production and choreographed stings for the awards presentations.
After the main event, guests moved down to an underground room with vaulted ceiling for a spot of post-show networking with a bar and music – Beautifully complemented with lighting and sound from the talented team at On.
