On launches Birmingham hybrid event studio at the eastside rooms

Working in partnership with Birmingham’s newest conference and events venue, On is really excited to announce the opening of two new hybrid event studios at the eastside rooms.

COVID 19 has changed the way events are run and even with a postive UK roadmap ahead, there is still a need for virtual and hybrid events for some time to come.  These hybrid event studio spaces allow businesses and organisations to produce engaging live or pre-recorded content and events that look amazing and really engage with a remote online audience.   The technology we have at our finger tips allows us to connect presenters together from anywhere in the world and bring them remotely into the studio to present alongside colleagues in the live space.  We can even bring the live audience, virtually, into the space too so you can really connect with the individuals sat at home or in the office.   This is perfect for conferences, product launches, awards, training and even social interaction with game-show style quizzes and other employee events.

Studio One

Studio One packs everything you need to put on an awesome online event.  As standard it comes with a huge digital video backdrop, studio lighting, sound, professional cameras and broadcast hardware to stream your event out across the internet.    Presenters can be live in the studio and also join from anywhere in the world using our OnLine broadcast services.   As the studio is built within one of the larger meeting rooms at the eastside rooms, as lockdown restrictions are eased, there is plenty of space to bring in a full, or partial live audience with social distancing as required.

Our onsite production team are here to support you at every step of the way and provide the technical support you need to ensure a smooth and professional virtual or hybrid event.

A green room is provided as part of the studio rental package.   This is a great space to work and for presenters to prepare ahead of going live on their broadcast.   Hospitiality is provided by the eastside rooms with service to the green room as well as bar, restaurant and other familiar facilities you would expect in the adjoining 4-star Aloft hotel.

Studio Two

Studio Two is a smaller, mini studio space with a customisable printed backdrop, large 65″ LCD screen, lighting and microphone for a single presenter.   This is perfect for smaller events that need a professional touch, without needing a huge budget.  It’s also perfect for regional presenters to join UK or Worldwide virtual events, with professional support and a fully branded or “green-screen” backdrop.

COVID Safe

The safe delivery of virtual or hybrid events is absolutely paramount and measures are in place to protect those presenting or attending an event at the eastside studios.    The first thing to note is the vast amount of space available, allowing social distancing measures to be impletmented as required.    There is also a dedicated entrance to the eastside rooms with hotel guests arriving and departing through a separate entrance.

The production team operate in a separate isolated room with only the Floor Manager and camera operators in the main studio space with the presenters.  Masks are worn at all times and there are strict rules on the cleaning of equipment before and after use.
