The Brief

Polestar Festival represented a significant chapter in the growth of Polestar in the UK, acting both as a celebration for existing owners and as the very first UK unveiling of the Polestar 5. The event brought together families, brand followers and industry voices for a day of insight, experience and inspiration, complete with a live presentation stage, panel discussions, supplier showcases and a showcase of the full Polestar story from Polestar 1 through to the newest release.

Strata Creative Communications led the creative and event direction and approached us to deliver all internal technical and scenic requirements within a vast aircraft hangar that demanded careful planning and specialist solutions. Our role was to support the full creative vision while ensuring the internal build was executed to the highest standard, with reliable audio, lighting, LED integration, car access to stage, scenic finishing and complete production management for the two day install and live event day.

Objectives

  • Support Polestar and Strata with complete internal production, scenic and technical delivery
  • Build a premium presentation stage and seamless scenic set with LED integration, an integrated Polestar logo and a ramp suitable for car movement
  • Deliver reliable audio, lighting and rigging solutions that performed well inside a bright hangar space
  • Provide full production management and an onsite show team for the two day install and one day event
  • Create a cohesive environment with supplier totems, floor graphics, storage room and supporting scenic elements

What we did

Production Management and Show Team:

Our production manager and onsite show team oversaw the full install, rehearsal period and live event, working closely with Strata to coordinate schedules, manage technical delivery and keep every element of the show running smoothly.

Presentation Stage and Scenic Set:

We built a seamless wrapped stage set with integrated LED and the Polestar logo, complete with a ramp that allowed cars, including the Polestar 5, to drive on and off stage. The scenic finish reflected the clean Polestar aesthetic and delivered a premium focal point for presentations.

Rigging & Hangar Solutions:

The hangar presented structural and ambient light challenges, so we designed a rigging and truss system that supported lighting, audio and display elements safely and effectively within the space.

Sound, Lighting and Video Systems:

We supplied audio suitable for the acoustics of the hangar, lighting that cut through the bright environment and digital display solutions including integrated LED and supplier totems with wrapped graphics and screens.

Additional Scenic and Graphics Elements:

Supporting features such as floor graphics, supplier totems, a storage room and scenic finishes throughout helped create a cohesive environment for guests to explore, including the display of five Polestar cars from the original Polestar 1 to the new Polestar 5.
